Petersfield Swimming Club Report  2009 Season

Overall, this season has been very successful. We have had a membership of 76, with attendance averaging 27 members taking part in the water activities each week, though the extremes of attendance ranged from 8 (during August holiday period) to 47 (earlier in the season).
We have taken advantage of a numbers of routes for publicity, from the publication of a submission to local press at the start of the season, having contact details in the Pool brochure, and taking part in the pre-season open day.
We have also seen many of our regulars introducing new members. We have had some of the more experienced members again returning this year to actively take part in guiding those less proficient, and have been fortunate to receive expert guidance from Linda, a guest instructor, this year introducing a number of Synchronised Swimming techniques.
Our final evening, on 8th September, we held our traditional barbecue, which many of our members attended, and enjoyed a play evening in the Pool with other family members. During the evening, the members were reminded that the Club is run on a voluntary basis, and thanks were expressed to those involved, along with the presentation of token gifts to each.
