Lynn Hellewell is back as the Swimming Lesson Coordinator for POASP. She will be joined by her trusted swimming teachers.

Group Lessons
Sign up for swimming lessons will start 1 April 2023 and your enquiry will be dealt with in order of receipt via the secure online Enquiry Form (click here). On receipt of your form Lynn will contact you for a chat to determine that your child is placed in the right class. You will then be sent a link to our payment portal.
All our lessons are for 30 minutes and all our Swim teachers are ASA/Swim England Level 2 qualified. Where possible, our beginner swim groups are supported by an ASA/Swim England Level 1 Assistant Teacher.
We offer swimming lessons to children currently in Year R and upwards. We use the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway to place children in the appropriate ability group. However, our groups may not completely correspond to those in other swim lesson venues, as we have to factor in a child’s experience and ability in deep water.

Beginners / Non Swimmers (Swim England Stage 1/2)
Improvers Group 1 = Shallow end widths (Swim England Stage 2/ 3)
Improvers Group 2 = Mid pool width (Swim England Stage 4)
Lengths Group = Deep end to boom (Swim England 5/6)
Shorty wetsuits are available for little ones to borrow for swimming lessons as we know that the air can be cold. Please feel free to supply your own child’s to ensure that the proper fit. The pool is heated to 26-28 degrees.
Private Lessons
We offer 1-1 and 1-2 private lessons with an individual teacher. These primarily take place during a General Swim session and are arranged directly with the teacher available for a time that works for both parties. Private Lessons are paid for on entry to the pool on the day of the lesson.
