The 2021 season is kicking off with a new management team. We thank the previous joint managers Deborah Mitchell and Zoe Simmonds for doing an outstanding job over the past 5 years.

Jessica Blatter

Duty Manager

Jessica is 21 years old and a familiar face to many at the pool! She grew up in the Caribbean, moving to England in her early teenage years - drawn to our outdoor pool by her love for the water/outdoors, she’s been with us ever since! Jess began working for us in 2016, originally as office staff, then trained with us to be a lifeguard & helped to run beginners swim club. She has enjoyed many happy seasons over the years and is now thrilled to be one of our Duty Managers! She is so looking forward to welcoming you all back to the pool and spending the summer at home in town, hoping to go to university in September to train to be a Paramedic.

Aarron Conroy

Pool Manager

Our new Pool Mannager, Aarron has worked in the Leisure Industry for 17 years and was working as an Operations Manager for Everyone Active before joining us here in Petersfield. Aarron is also a RLSS National Trainer Assessor and will be offering training for various different qualifications at the pool such as NPLQ and First Aid at Work. Aarron is married with two children and currently resides in Chichester. Aarron is looking forward to meeting the POASP “lido” community and taking on the responsibility of managing the entire operation.

Tom Verney

Duty Manager

Tom has been working at the pool since 2016 as a lifeguard and is looking forward to being back in the capacity of Duty Manager. Tom is currently studying Music at University and will be going back for his final year after the season ends.

Kieren Page

Duty Manager

I’ve been working in the leisure industry for over 6 years now starting off as a lifeguard working my way up to supervisor and now becoming a Duty Manager I was originally born in Portsmouth but have spent the last 20 years of my life living and growing up in Peterborough but made the move with my family back down south in March 2021. I’m really looking forward to working at Petersfield Open Air Swimming Pool and can hopefully bring in some good ideas for different events at the pool from my previous experiences in the leisure industry!

A big thanks to all those who have put themselves forward to volunteer for the pool.  We are so pleased that we have a wide range of very capable people putting themselves forward to help in a variety of areas – from carpentry to flower baskets, reception support to IT. If you would like to be a volunteer then please contact us via email.

The 2020 Pool Renovation project is now complete.   The main contractor 6aVision did a fabulous job and Peter Noë of 6aVision went to extraordinary efforts not only to make sure that the renovation was high quality but also helped us enormously throughout 2020 and 2021 as we prepared to open the pool.  Peter swam in the pool as a child and his family are users of the pool today.

Many of the important aspects of the work are now hidden from view.  Click here to view a summary presentation of the project.
